Cindy Chatt is a Tekamah native, entrepreneur, and economic development leader committed to strengthening rural Nebraska communities.

After building a career in sales and marketing analytics serving national and global clients, she made the decision to return home and invest in the community that raised her.

In 2017, Cindy founded Chatterbox Brews, a farm‑to‑table restaurant in historic downtown Tekamah. She led the renovation of a Main Street building that earned the Nebraska Main Street Historic Rehab Award and built a business centered on local agriculture, youth mentorship, and community connection.

Today, Cindy serves as Director of Burt County Economic Development, where she works with entrepreneurs, city leaders, and property owners to revitalize communities, support small business growth, and strengthen rural tourism across the county.

Her experience bridges private‑sector strategy and hands‑on small business leadership. Cindy believes Nebraska’s future depends on strong local communities, responsible growth,
and leaders willing to invest in the places they call home.
